Define metric targets for your organization or focused segments. Goals let you set measurable targets on any Waydev metric, track progress against an evaluation period, and notify stakeholders when a metric drifts off target. You can apply goals to your entire organization or to focused segments such as teams, groups, or attributes.

*** ## Step 1: Apply goals to Choose the people who should see this set of metric targets. - **Entire organization** - Set the default target for everyone. - **Selected segments** - Set focused targets for teams, groups, or attributes. Once a scope is selected, the **Goals for entire organization** (or **Goals for selected segments**) panel shows the active metric targets before saving. Use the **Active goals** and **Previous goals** tabs to review current versus completed goal periods. Completed goal periods appear under **Previous goals** after evaluation. Click **Edit goals** to modify the active set. *** ## Step 2: Choose metrics and targets Browse metrics to add goals, then manage each configuration on the **Active** tab. The **Goal catalog** has two tabs: - **Active** - Goals you have already configured, with editable target operators, values, and evaluation periods. - **Metrics** - The full catalog of available metrics (181 total). Each row shows whether the metric is active and an **Add goal** button. ### Managing active goals On the **Active** tab, each goal row lets you set: - **Target operator** - The comparison direction. Options are `At most (<=)`, `Equal to (=)`, and `Less than (<)`. * **Target value** - The threshold to compare against, shown with the metric unit (for example `%`). * **Evaluation period** - The date range the goal is measured over, for example `3 Aug 2026 - 3 Nov 2026`. Use **Remove** to delete a goal from the active set. Use **Search metrics** to filter the list.

*** ### Adding a goal manually Click **Add goal** to open the **Add a goal manually** dialog. Set the target and evaluation period before activating. - **Metric** - Search and select the metric to target. - **Evaluation period** - Choose from `Next 2 weeks`, `Next month`, `Next 3 months`, `Next 6 months`, `Next quarter`, `Next 12 months`, or `Custom`. - **Target operator** - `At most (<=)`, `Equal to (=)`, and `Less than (<)` - **Target value** - The numeric threshold.

When the goal set is scoped to **Selected segments**, the dialog also shows an **Applies to** section with three columns: - **Teams** - Select individual teams, such as `Backend B`, `Builders`, or `DevOps`. Numbers indicate member counts. - **Groups** - Select groups such as `All Users`, `Core`, or `Waydev`. - **Attributes** - Select attribute-based segments such as `AI assistant usage`, `QA`, or `Seniority`. Click **Add goal** to stage the goal. Changes stay staged until you save.

*** ### ### Auto generate goals Click **Auto generate goals** to open the **Schedule Agent Predictability goals** dialog. Waydev Agent Predictability creates a focused baseline across delivery and productivity metrics. Select a scheduled period, then generate targets. - **Scheduled period** - Choose from `Next 2 weeks`, `Next month`, `Next 3 months`, `Next 6 months`, `Next quarter`, `Next 12 months`, or `Custom`. The resulting evaluation window is shown next to the field. Click **Schedule goals** to generate the set. Waydev then opens the **Review suggested goals** dialog, which lists each proposed goal alongside a summary of why the metrics were selected. The scheduled period and evaluation window are shown at the top, for example `Next 3 months · 3 Aug 2026 - 3 Nov 2026`.

Each suggested goal row shows: - **Metric** - The metric being targeted. - **Current value** - The metric's present value, for context. - **Target** - The suggested target operator (`<=`, `=`, or `<`) and value, both editable before accepting. - **Actions** - Accept (check) or decline (cross) the individual suggestion. Use the footer buttons to **Cancel**, **Decline all**, or **Accept all**. Accepted goals are created immediately.

*** ## Step 3: Goal status updates Configure the status updates you want saved with this goal set. Enabled deliveries are summarized at the top of the section, for example `Slack · off-target · weekly 09:00 · #channel`. Two delivery channels are available, each with an on/off toggle: ### Slack Keep a channel informed about goal status. - **Send when** - Choose `Off target` (notify only when a metric misses its target) or `Summary` (regular recap regardless of status). - **Cadence** - For example `Weekly`. - **Delivery time** - For example `09:00`. - **Slack destination** - Select the channel to post to. ### Email Keep stakeholders informed by email. - **Send when** - Choose `Off target` or `Summary`. - **Cadence** - For example `Weekly`. - **Delivery time** - For example `09:00`. - **Email recipients** - Enter recipient addresses. > **Note:** Delivery preferences are saved with your goal configuration. This section configures preferences only.

*** ## Saving Click **Save changes** to commit the goal set. Staged changes are not applied until saved.
