Operational Users
The Operational Users page is where you manage all users
Users
- Navigate to Operational Users, in the Setup section.
- Click the Users Tab
- In the “Users” tab you can manage access to teams and applications of Waydev users.
Active users are Waydev Users that have their account configured and ready to use. Invited users are the ones that have received the email invitation, but did not access it yet.
Invite new user
- Click the "Invite new user" button to invite a new user.
- In the "Invite new user" modal, provide the details of the user you want to invite.
- The "Role" determines which report this user will have access to. Learn about setting up roles here.
- To grant access to Applications, click the "Grant" button of the Application you want to give this person access to, or select multiple applications and click the "Grant Access" button.
- To grant access to the reports of certain teams, click the "Grant" button from the "Visible in Reports" column or select each team you want to grant access to and click "Grant Reports."
- For someone to receive email reports for a specific team, click the "Grant" button in the "Receive Email Reports" column of the team or select the teams you want and click the "Grant Emails" button.
You can create Presets so you won't have to select each application and team manually every time you invite someone. Learn how to do that here.
- After you grant access to the user you are inviting, click the "Invite" button.
SSO Users
- Navigate to Operational Users, in the Setup section.
- Click the SSO Users Tab
- Here, you can manage the profiles of SSO Users, the Role, and the Stats Access to applications and teams.
Active SSO users are Waydev Users who have logged in at least once. Expected SSO users are the ones created who have not logged in yet.
- To grant access to Applications, click the "Grant" button of the Application you want to give this person access to, or select multiple applications and click the "Grant Access" button.
- To grant access to the reports of certain teams, click the "Grant" button from the "Visible in Reports" column or select each team you want to grant access to and click "Grant Reports."
- For someone to receive email reports for a specific team, click the "Grant" button in the "Receive Email Reports" column of the team or select the teams you want and click the "Grant Emails" button.
- After you grant access to the user you are inviting, click the "Create" button.
Main User
- Navigate to Operational Users, in the Setup section.
- Click the Main User Tab
- Here, you can manage the profile of the Main User, the Role, and the stats access to applications and teams.
- To edit the access of the main user in your account, click the "Edit Access" button.
- To grant access to Applications, click the "Grant" button of the Application you want to give this person access to, or select multiple applications and click the "Grant Access" button.
- To grant access to the reports of certain teams, click the "Grant" button from the "Visible in Reports" column or select each team you want to grant access to and click "Grant Reports."
- For this user to receive email reports for a specific team, click the "Grant" button in the "Receive Email Reports" column of the team or select the teams you want and click the "Grant Emails" button.
- After you grant access to the main user, click the "Update" button.
Manage Roles and Access
Creating a new role
- Navigate to Operational Users, in the Setup section.
- Click the Manage Roles and Access Tab
- Click the "Add New Role" button
- Select the name and the scopes for the new role, then click Create.
Manage an existing role
- Navigate to Operational Users, in the Setup section.
- Click the Manage Roles and Access Tab
- Click the "Edit Role" button of the role you want to edit
- Edit the scopes and then click "Update."
Set Presets
You can create Presets so you won't have to select each application and team manually every time you invite someone.
- Navigate to Operational Users, in the Setup section.
- Click the Manage Roles and Access Tab
- Click "New Preset" button
- To grant access to Applications, click the "Grant" button of the Application you want to give access to, or select multiple applications and click the "Grant Access" button.
- To grant access to the reports of certain teams, click the "Grant" button from the "Visible in Reports" column or select each team you want to grant access to and click "Grant Reports."
- For making users receive email reports for a specific team, click the "Grant" button in the "Receive Email Reports" column of the team or select the teams you want and click the "Grant Emails" button.
When done, click "Create"
