Interpretation
- A high number of story points tracked indicates strong tracking discipline and robust work management processes. It suggests that the team consistently estimates and captures work comprehensively, reflecting process maturity through established tracking workflows and disciplined execution. This level of tracking supports improved project visibility, more accurate capacity planning, and tighter control over project delivery.
- On the other hand, a low number of story points tracked may reveal tracking gaps, where significant work is done outside the system or not captured properly. This often points to poor tracking discipline, incomplete workflows, or weak team accountability. It also signals broader project management issues, such as limited visibility into work progress, reduced capacity planning accuracy, and diminished control over project scope and outcomes.
