Interpretation
- High Percentage (80–100%) - indicates an excellent review culture where most pull requests receive meaningful and thorough reviews. This reflects strong team engagement, effective processes, and active knowledge sharing. Current practices should be maintained and potentially shared as best practices.
- Medium Percentage (50–79%) - shows a generally healthy review process, though some PRs may be receiving less attention. This is common for well-functioning teams, but there’s room to improve review consistency and provide additional reviewer training.
- Low Percentage (20–49%) - raises concern that many PRs may receive minimal review. This could signal rubber-stamping, weak quality checks, or an overburdened team. The review process should be examined, and improvements in training and workload distribution considered.
- Very Low Percentage (< 20%) - indicates a critical issue where the review process is largely ineffective. Quality gates are failing, knowledge sharing is limited, and the risk of production bugs is high. Immediate intervention and a full process overhaul are likely needed.
