Subtask Tickets

Subtask Tickets is a count metric that measures the number of subtasks associated with tickets in the project management system.

Where to find it

  • Health > Team Management > Add new metric
  • Health > Benchmark > Add new metric

Interpretation

  • High Subtask count suggests complex work breakdown (detailed task decomposition, multiple dependencies, comprehensive planning), process maturity (sophisticated work breakdown, good estimation practices, strong project management), team coordination (multiple team members involved, parallel work streams, complex handoffs).
  • Low Subtask count indicates simple work items, straightforward tasks, minimal dependencies or maybe a different planning approach (high-level ticket management, less detailed breakdown, different estimation methods).
