Interpretation

  • Excellent (0–5%) - indicates a very strong review culture with high compliance and a strong focus on quality. Current practices should be maintained and potentially used as a benchmark for others.
  • Good (5–15%) - reflects generally solid review practices, typical of well-functioning teams. While no major issues are present, it’s wise to monitor trends and make minor improvements where needed.
  • Concerning (15–30%) - suggests a notable portion of code is bypassing peer review, raising the risk of bugs and quality issues. The root causes should be investigated and process improvements implemented.
  • Critical (>30%) - shows that most code changes are not being peer-reviewed, posing serious risks to code quality and security. An immediate and comprehensive process overhaul is necessary.
