Interpretation

  • Very Fast (e.g., < 2 hours average) - excellent team responsiveness and engagement but may indicate rushed or superficial comments. Verify comment quality and depth of review.
  • Fast (e.g., 2-8 hours average) - good team responsiveness and collaboration, common for well-functioning teams. Monitor for consistency and quality.
  • Moderate (e.g., 8-24 hours average) - reasonable response time for most teams but may indicate review capacity constraints. Assess if this aligns with team expectations.
  • Slow (e.g., 24-48 hours average) - may indicate review bottlenecks or team availability issues, too few reviewers available or reviewers not checking for new PRs regularly, process inefficiencies, team communication problems.
  • Very Slow (e.g., > 48 hours average) - significant review delays. Immediate Action Required: review capacity planning, process optimization, team communication improvements, tool and notification enhancements.
