Contributors vs Users

See the difference below.

What's the difference?

Before ensuring your teams are set up, it’s important to distinguish between a “Contributor” and a “User” in Waydev.

Contributors:

  • Any active contributor in Azure Boards, GitHub, etc. who performed any activity (completed tasks, committed code, etc.) in the repositories/projects selected for processing.
  • This is managed from Teams Management.

Users:

  • Anyone invited to the Waydev platform to see the data. This can be anyone - from leaders to
    engineers.
  • This is managed in the Operational Users page.

Make sure everything is set up correctly

When seeing data in Waydev, you will need to filter by project, date range, and teams. If your team setups are incomplete or incorrect, the data may be inaccurate.
